“Access to safe water is a fundamental human need and, therefore, a basic human right.”
– Ban Ki-moon
Avant Welfare Foundation recently celebrated the successful installation of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification system at the Government School in Bommasandra. This initiative aimed to provide over 1000 students with access to safe and clean drinking water, addressing a critical health need in the community.
Before the installation, the school struggled with providing safe drinking water, posing health risks to students. Our team conducted a thorough site inspection to ensure the right system was chosen, ultimately installing a high-capacity RO system capable of filtering 500 liters per day. A water storage tank was also added, guaranteeing access even during outages.
The impact has been significant. Students now enjoy purified water, drastically reducing the risk of waterborne diseases. Feedback from parents and teachers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing peace of mind knowing their children are safe from health threats related to poor water quality.
This project highlights our commitment to improving health infrastructure in underserved communities. The successful implementation of the RO system at Government School, Bommasandra not only meets immediate needs but sets a precedent for similar initiatives in the future.
