Why Break the Chain?
India records one of the highest numbers of road accidents globally. Many of these are preventable—with awareness, discipline and mutual respect on the road.
Break the Chain aims to:
- Promote road safety awareness among cyclists, motorists and families
- Encourage healthy, sustainable mobility
- Build a culture of responsible road behaviour, especially among young participants
- Use community participation as a tool for long-term impact
We ride not just for fitness, but for safer streets.

The event is designed to be inclusive—welcoming both experienced cyclists and families.
A 77 Km Ride
- For adult and experienced cyclists
- Symbolic of India’s Republic Day spirit
- Focused on endurance, discipline and road etiquette
- Emphasis on safety, learning and shared responsibility
A simple message: Ride Safe. Arrive Safe.
Road Safety at the Core
Road safety is not an add-on—it is embedded into the event.
Key elements include:
- A Road Safety Pledge signed by all participants
- Mandatory helmet use and safety checks
- Pre-ride briefing covering riding etiquette, visibility and traffic awareness
- Route marshals and safety checkpoints
- On-ground signage promoting safe riding behaviour
- A dedicated Road Safety Awareness Zone at the event village
Participants are encouraged to carry these practices beyond the event and into daily life.
