Dental Health Program 2

Dental Health Awareness Program

As part of National Children’s Dental Health Month 2025, Avant Welfare Foundation conducted a dental awareness program for children, focusing on oral hygiene education and preventive care. Free dental kits were distributed, and interactive sessions helped kids learn the importance of brushing right and caring for their smiles early in life.

First Aid Box Installation

Avant Welfare Foundation installed fully equipped first aid boxes with essential medications in two government schools to ensure quick response to minor injuries and health emergencies. This initiative promotes safer learning environments and reinforces the importance of health and preparedness in schools.

Bright Smiles, Healthy Futures

National Children’s Dental Health Month Initiative – February 2025.

In February 2025, to mark National Children’s Dental Health Month, Avant Welfare Foundation organized a comprehensive Dental Awareness and Oral Hygiene Initiative in association with Colgate India aimed at promoting lifelong dental health habits among children. The program was conducted across schools and anganwadis, reaching children from underserved communities.

Dental Health Program 1

This initiative was part of Avant Welfare Foundation’s larger mission to improve health, hygiene and quality of life through sustained grassroots action.

The initiative focused on educating children about the importance of proper oral hygiene, the right way to brush and floss and the role of healthy eating in maintaining strong teeth and gums. Through engaging demonstrations, interactive sessions with dental professionals and fun visual aids, children were encouraged to take charge of their dental health.

As part of the campaign, free dental hygiene kits were distributed to more than 750 children. Each kit included a toothbrush, toothpaste along with a pictorial guide to proper oral care routines — empowering kids to practice what they learned with us.

The campaign aimed not only to spread awareness but to create long-term behavioral change, preventing avoidable dental issues and fostering healthier, more confident smiles. It also helped bridge the gap in preventive dental care access for children in low-income communities.

First Aid First – Safe Schools, Healthy Futures

Government School Health & Safety Initiative – 2024

In a continued effort to improve the well-being of students in underserved communities, Avant Welfare Foundation launched a First Aid and Health Safety Initiative in 2024 by installing fully stocked first aid boxes with essential medications and supplies in two government schools.

By empowering schools with these resources, the initiative strengthens the foundation’s mission to create healthy-secure learning environments where children can grow, thrive and learn without avoidable disruptions. This is one of many steps we are taking to build stronger, safer and more responsive public education spaces.

The initiative was designed to ensure that students have immediate access to basic medical care in case of minor injuries, cuts, bruises, allergic reactions or sudden health concerns during school hours. Each first aid box was thoughtfully equipped with essential items such as antiseptic solutions, bandages, cotton, adhesive plasters, thermometers, basic over-the-counter medicines (like paracetamol and oral rehydration salts), gloves and safety instructions.

In addition to the installation, the foundation also conducted a brief orientation session for teachers and school staff on how to use the kits responsibly and safely, ensuring that the boxes serve their intended purpose in a timely and effective manner.
